Breastfeeding support without pressure

Shantelle Alliman

Breastfeeding can come with many questions.

I provide supportive breastfeeding counseling for parents who want help understanding feeding, building confidence, and working through common challenges.

My approach is practical and supportive. I want parents to feel heard and respected while they work out what feeding looks like for their family.

My experience as a newborn care specialist and postpartum support professional has also given me many years of experience around newborn feeding, feeding routines, bottle feeding, pumping, and the early days with a baby.

I Can Support You With

Understanding newborn feeding patterns | Building confidence with feeding | Pumping questions | Combination feeding | Bottle feeding alongside breastfeeding | Understanding baby's feeding cues | Creating realistic feeding routines | Newborn care during the early postpartum period | Questions about feeding and sleep | Preparing for the early weeks

My Approach

There is no single feeding experience that looks the same for every family.

I listen first.

Then we look at what is happening, what you would like to change, and what kind of support would be useful.

My role is to support and educate you, not to make you feel judged.

If something falls outside my scope, I will encourage you to speak with the appropriate healthcare professional.
